I'm a software engineer in the Greater Boston Area

Since graduating with a BS in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ) in 2019, I'm back to my home state of Massachusetts working in support engineering at an Education SaaS organization. While I enjoy working in a variety of branches of software engineering, my professional experience thus far has been primarily in web software, such as ColdFusion and Node applications, and database management. I'm excited to see what the future holds for my career and life in general... and all the bad puns I'm sure to make along the way!

Support Engineer 1/2021-present

Supporting a School Information System software platform used by hundreds of private schools internationally, consisting of:

Collaborating with support teams or directly with customers to investigate and resolve concerns or complete updates to data and logic in a MSSQL database, and on Ruby on Rails documents referencing the database
Documenting common questions and resolutions for both internal and customer reference
Creating and updating internal scripts to help automate common team tasks
Coordinating with the Product team to contribute bug fixes
Cross-training with APAC personnel to contribute to supporting CMS-based websites with custom Typescript/SASS components

Associate Technical Support Engineer 6/2019-12/2020

Transitioned to primarily supporting a newer product version
Handle a wide variety of OLTP SQL Server Database tasks - data updates, imports, exports, configurations, etc.
Work with creating/updating Reports in SQL Server Reporting Services
Team up with client and vendor contacts to implement product integrations, including ADFS Single Sign On (via database updates) and third party software integrations (via C# Razor pages and configuring JSON/XML parsing to feed our database)

Upgraded client sites to a mobile-friendly Bootstrap implementation

This website

Presently a simple HTML/CSS/JS website hosted via GitHub Pages. May transition to Jekyll or to a web app down the line, if the need for more dynamic content arises. For now, a static webpage seemed the most effective and efficient way to convey this information

Bit by a Grue Podcast

Biweekly gaming/technology podcast live on Apple, Google, Stitcher, and Spotify. I primarily cover videogame and XR content, though there is frequent crossover.

Miscord Bot Modifications

Some edits to Miscord, a bot that links Facebook Messenger with Discord. Aiming to add video linking, Messenger mentions, and RegEx to trim Discord server names. Eventually considering creating a similar solution from scratch myself, to provide a custom centralized messaging interface to integrate multiple other messaging services.

Stevens Senior Design Project

(2018-19) Developed a web and mobile application for a startup client with a Stevens team. Consisted of an AWS-hosted Node/Express/MySQL web application serving a Handlebars website and React Native mobile app.

Vets4Warriors CLR

(2016-17) Developed a "Counselor Laptop Resource" - a MEAN web application - with a Stevens team, to provide Vets4Warriors counselors with a convenient and quick means of keeping and accessing external resources to provide for callers.
